Guilt-free Chocolate Orange Bliss Balls

Another quick and easy snack! The perfect pick me up for the mid-afternoon slump or a healthy treat if you like to finish a meal with a (naturally) sweet something. Also, with a mix of carbs and protein, and easy to pop into your bag when on the go, these little balls make a great post-workout nibble.

Chocolate Orange Bliss Balls
Makes 12

150g oats
20g chocolate protein powder*
30g raw cacao powder
2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
200g medjool dates
Zest of 1 orange
Splash of water
  1. Blitz the oats to a semi-fine texture in a food processor
  2. Add the protein powder, raw cacao, coconut oil, dates and orange zest and blitz again adding enough water to form a slightly sticky mixture
  3. Divide the mix into 12 and roll into balls – damp hands will prevent the mix from sticking to you too much
  4. Place onto a lined baking tray and open freeze
  5. Once semi-frozen transfer the balls to a suitable container and keep on hand in the freezer
* I'm a big fan of Purition protein powders; the ingredients are all naturals so no hidden nasties and you don’t get that funky aftertaste like with some other powders!
