Smoothie Love



This concoction reignited my love of smoothies and proves that keeping it simple is sometimes best.

It’s simple, delicious and the perfect pre-workout snack when you don’t want anything too heavy between meals but you know you need something for energy.

With simple carbs from the fruit to provide quick-releasing energy, plus healthy fats from the avocado, chia seeds and yogurt to keep you satiated throughout and then a little protein from the milk to protect your muscles it makes for the perfect all-rounder.


Take it with you for a simple on-the-go snack!

If you want to enjoy this as a post­-workout smoothie you could simply boost the protein content by adding a scoop of protein powder…I’d recommended a plain vanilla variety.

Simple Berry Smoothie

100ml milk
100g frozen banana
75g frozen mixed berries
1 tsp chia seeds
¼-½ an avocado – sounds odd but provides those healthy fats, micronutrients and a super creamy texture
1-2 tbsp full-fat Greek yogurt


Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blitz until smooth and creamy (you may need to scrape down the sides a few times)
